Tiny Treasures Early Learning Centre has been built on a deep commitment to quality early childhood education in the heart of Otahuhu, South Auckland. As a licensed, privately-owned education and care centre, we provide flexible all-day and part-day services for children from birth to five years of age.
Our centre is named with purpose — ‘Ahakoa he iti he pounamu’ — Although it is small, it is a treasure. We believe that every child who walks through our doors is a taonga and it is our privilege to nurture their earliest years of learning and growth.

We strive to help tamariki be confident, happy learners to become their best self through:

Embracing the bicultural heritage unique to New Zealand thus upholding the obligations of the Treaty of Waitangi – protection, participation and partnership
Teaching staff working in collaboration with whānau to meet their family aspirations for their tamariki while valuing every individual’s contribution through open communication
Conserving the individual languages and cultural identities of all children and their families through affirmation and celebration.
Tiny Treasures Early Learning Centre is committed to upholding respect for one another, respect for the environment and for learning. Our rich curriculum and aligned learning areas in the centre, encourage children to develop habits, skills and attitudes essential for becoming lifelong learners and effective communicators.
We aim to develop in our tamariki:
An attachment to ‘our place’
An understanding of how to learn
High self esteem from becoming a good learner
Inner calm and a sense of order
Initiative and persistence
Abiding curiosity
A positive, optimistic attitude towards life, our families and friends
